Balancing Through Developing the 5 Elements

In Chinese Medicine, the 5 most basic parts of a person are given the names of elements in the natural world.  They are water, wood, fire, earth, and metal.  In this presentation, the Chinese 5 Element theory will help individuals to understand their personality tendencies and needs for growth.  Participants will have an opportunity to see the implications of their pattern and how to make changes that will bring increased success and health.

Activities

  • Through learning the  personality characteristics, tastes, foods, and talents that are associated with each of the elements, participants learn how they are unique.
  • Participants will engage in Qigong, a movement process that promotes balance and flow.  In a workshop, participants will learn the simple movements that they can do at home, and ongoing sessions for support and motivation can be planned.
