Eating is one of our body’s most basic instincts. We all must eat to survive. Food can often be an ingrained part of our culture, it can represent who and what we are. Sometimes we get in a rut and prepare the simplest and easiest to prepare meals. Fast food has for many become the norm and in some cases has become our food culture. A vast amount of research reveals that eating a healthy, well balanced, whole foods diet supports a healthy body, longevity and general well being. Dietary diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, obesity, and many cancers are linked to the excess sugars, fats, salts, chemicals, hormones, additives, pesticides and other processes in our current food supply. It doesn’t take a lot of extra effort to prepare meals that our bodies were designed to eat.
